Hiya,
I recently woke up in the middle of the night about 2 days ago with a slamming toothache. I think its coming from the top teeth but to tell you the truth I have a hard time telling. I've been sick for about 5 days with a cough, cold, headache, and soar throat. Could the toothache be brought on because I'm sick? I went to the dentist about 2 months ago and had no cavities since and I barely eat any sweets, and brush the hell out of them which is why I'm having a hard time figuring out why I got such pain so quickly. The pain goes off and on, I was wanting to wait until I feel better to make a dentist appointment if it is the case, but are there any tips to find out? should I get some nasal spray or see a doctor?
Got a toothache out of nowhere, is it because I'm sick?
It could be from being sick---particularly if there's a lot of congestion and pressure from the sinuses. It could be bruxism. It's also possible for an abcess to effect a tooth quickly and painfully (even though it's been brewing for a while beneath the gums). In any case, see your dentist if the symptoms don't subside with your congestion.
Reply:Its your glands! I get the same thing. Its just because your sick, when I get it its my jaw line. It will go away when your feeling better.
Reply:well, it could be, and couldn't. see a doctor/dentist about it.
Reply:i think you should put some pral gel and if the conditions still obtain then go see a dentist
Reply:The top teeth or maxillary teeth in the posterior region of the mouth are most often close to, or in the sinus. Therefore, any sinusitis or sinus infection may cause the teeth to hurt. Visit your dentist for evaluation and possible treatment with antibiotics.
