Toothache!!??
If you're over the age of 12 (before which you shouldn't use aspirin due to the risk of Reye's disease) you can make a paste using aspirin and spread it on the sore bit (trying not to taste it because it doesn't taste very nice).

In terms of tooth care, the basic message is avoid substances that harm your teeth (for example, sugars and carbonated drinks) and if you do eat or drink acidic substances, rinse with water and wait prior to brushing your teeth (eg if you have a glass of orange juice, don't brush immediately). Make sure you brush and floss after each meal and have regular dental checkups.

If you've got a broken tooth, it's safest to see a dentist and either have it repaired or extracted.

Reply:Toothaches are the worst..I'd rather give birth.. the best way I found to get rid of the pain is to get a soluble Disprin Tablet (the ones you dissolve in water) the brand is called Disprin Max..Instead of dissolving it place it between your teeth and let it dissolve in your mouth, or you can dissolve it in a small amount of water and hold the water in your mouth for a few minutes, then swallow, this will help the pain.. Another method would be to get some liquid paracetamol put it into a medicine dispenser (like a syringe) and squirt it into your tooth..Direct contact with these pain killers is the best way to relieve the pain...Old wives tales say that if you put a dried clove onto the tooth and hold it there that it will take the pain away, I tried this once and had a terrible taste left in my mouth and the pain was still there.. If these methods don't work, then you might just have to bite the bullet (mind the pun) and head off to the dentist...

Good Luck and I hope you are pain free soon
Reply:your bottom molar may be abscessed which means an infection. You will need antibiotics to get rid of the infection which will relieve the pain, but it needs to be taken care of otherwise it can make you very sick, as for the broken tooth dentist can fix that easily, and it will look like new again.

Watch out using oragel type pain meds, using too much can upset your stomach.
Reply:tie your teeth with a string on one end...then on the other end, tie it to the door which is open...Make sure the string is tight...Now slam the door shut...the teeeth should fly out...and lots of blood...
Reply:Toothaches are painful but can be prevented

by take suitable precautions. Avoid eating

food which will result in the formation of acid

in the mouth, brush teeth regularly with a fluoride

toothpaste. I found the information at

Reply:You can try using Peroxide. Swish some in your mouth for as long as you can stand it, then of course spit it out. That has helped me until I can get to the dentist.

I can feel your pain. I have had trouble with my teeth because of medicines I have had to take - it makes my teeth break easily. Sometimes no matter how often you brush your teeth or if you watch what you eat, your teeth can still give you trouble.

I hope this helps you as it does me!
