Toothache?

Is there any thing to take or do for a MAJOR toothache. Yesterday I cracked my tooth and its bleeding off and on. My dentist isnt open on the weekends so I have to wait until Monday. But I have tried Orajel and that only works for a little bit.. Any suggestions that will last longer than an hour!?

Toothache?
your best bet would be to take Ibuprofen (motrin) 600 mg, so three of the 200 pills, every four hours, so dont exceed 2400 mg a day. if the pain is unbearable, or you swell up then your local emegency room, hopefully if there is an oral surgeon or dentist on call.

Reply:Oil of clove might work, but if orajel is not doing it for you then you could be in for a long weekend. Isn't there an emergency dentist you could see?
Reply:there is this stuff called den temp at walmart that is really good...it's like putty and it hardens within an hour, you put it on the broke part and it helps keep air and food out, which will probably stop it from hurting....i hope this helps.
Reply:Other than an over the counter pain reliever,

maybe Anbesol?
Reply:clove oil will numb it better then any orajel. Soak a q-tip in it then apply to the tooth. It will last for an hour or more. Take some Ibuprofen or tylenol and avoid cold food and drinks.
Reply:I'm a guy, and i've cried before from the pain of toothaches. The only relief you'll get at home is from orajel, or getting hammered, if even.

But if it's really severe like you say.You can only go to a clinic and ask for a novacaine injection.I'm sorry for your pain.
Reply:If you live near the mexican border, go to the pharmacy and buy some trammadol, also known as trexol, ultram and a few other names i dont remember. Costs about 30 bucks for 50 tablets. Take two, (it takes about 45 min for them to work) and you wont feel any pain for 4 to 6 hours.

Warning: it MAY give you a bit of a headache the next day, and the only way to cure it is take more trammodol, or take like 4 motrins
Reply:Go to emergency, they have dentist on call there.
