Orajel. And gargle the salt water.
Reply:oil of cloves, but it on cotton wool then onto the tooth
Reply:I read somewhere that cloves work pretty well. Havn't tried it myself but you could maybe give that a try?
Reply:Clove oil. It stinks, but it's the best home anaesthetic I've come across.
Reply:co co domol is the best pain killer i have used ask for it at any chemist , not sure how u spell it but this is how its prononced ,good luck
Reply:Oil of cloves
Reply:soluble aspirin
Reply:The best thing for toothache is oil of cloves but be careful if you do use it. Make sure you put it directly onto the tooth that is hurting and no-where near your tongue because some people throw up really badly! Use a cotton bud to put it directly onto the tooth. If you don't fancy that then the strongest painkiller you can buy over the counter is Paramol...it is paracetamol and dihydrocodeine. Solpadeine is pretty good too. If you have an infection in the tooth you shouldn't use a hot water bottle because the heat will make the infection worse and increase the pain too.

You could phone NHS Direct for advice or go online to them...nhsdirect.nhs.uk......for advice or possibly the number of an emergency dentist in your area if it gets really, really bad. Word of warning.....if you use whiskey on the tooth (that works really well), be very careful with painkillers as well or you could end up with a much bigger problem than toothache!
