they will give you a pain killer..

I have dental problems and the pain gets so bad I am in tears.. its worse than childbirth!!!

My dentist gave me vicadin ( sp?) once it was so bad... usually I take tylenol while pg.. both are safe as long as you dont exceed the max..

Hope you feel better!!
Reply:I had a tooth pulled under local anesthetic at 17 weeks. I was given amoxilcillan and tylenol #3 afterwards.
Reply:They will help you, you are far enough along. Try a cotton bud with some brandy or some other alcohol on it till you get there.
Reply:they will ease the pain, because the risk of your pain affectin the baby by you feeling awful out risks the small chance that anything they do at the dentist would hurt the baby. my tooth broke off when i was pregnant the second time. chipped the first time. dentist and doc said dont be dumb and go in pain. good teeth care is very important during pregnancy. get it fixed, get some pain relief and dont worry. that baby will be here very soon. good luck. sorry about the pain, i know exactly how you feel.
Reply:They will give you an antibiotic and pain meds if it is infected and they can not pull it or fill it right away. If its not badly infected they will probably fix it today since you are far enough along to not worry about novacaine.

Good luck!
Reply:My dentist offers care to pregnant women on a case by case, tooth by tooth, basis. If one tooth is bothering you then yes they can take care of it. They just don't want to do "too" much as far as fillings and all that while you're pregnant because if something happens, you can go back and blame them.
