About 2 hours ago, I started to feel a dull ache on my top back teeth. This is the first time I have felt this pain. It is not a throbbing pain and I cannot see anything out of the ordinary. I have never had a toothache in my life, so I don't know what to do or what it could be. Could it be a cavity or what? Thank you so much for your help. I appreciate it!
Any ideas about this toothache I have? Anything helps...?
Pain in the mouth can be from lots of things.
You may have gum disease going on there, does your teeth bleed when you brush,do you think your teeth are mobile/moving?
If you have a cavity it may be too hard for you look at in a mirror since its at the back on the top teeth.Cavities can hide in the gums, between teeth and your tooth may or may not discolor ,blacken and can even be be so innocent looking with huge cavity there that you may not think about it.
Pain can also be from be erupting teeth ,wisdom molars forcing their stubborn way through causing tightness and pain.
Do you experience ache ,heaviness and pain to more than teeth? It can even be your maxillary sinus infection affecting the teeth underneath. You may notice ache when ascend/descend a flight of steps.
Its best you take some painkillers as required and visit a dentist.
All the best.
Reply:Yeah, it's probably a cavity. I think Ambesol is supposed to help.
Reply:I'm always nervous about seemingly uneducated dentists, especially those who can't spell and use bad grammar.
Have you eaten anything that may be lodged in between your teeth? Try doing a gentle flossing and then forcefully swish warm salty water through your teeth. (Remember when you were little how you used to squish jello around in your mouth? Something like that with the warm salty water and flossing.)
Reply:there are numerous causes for tooth ache...go to the dentist for diagonsis
