6 year old with a toothache?

My 6 year old daughter has a bad toothache, I called her dentist but they don't do emergency appts. the soonest he could see her is wednesday. What do I do in the mean time, I've tried motron and that hasn't been working. Oralgel isn't working either. She is also sick, with a fever and bad stomach ache, and the dentist told me even if it's a cavity he can't fill it until her fever is broke, he can't numb her unless she is healthy. So what can I do for her?

See if you can get in to see her doctor...It sounds as if she has an infection (the fever is a bad sign). If she does, then the doctor should be able to provide an antibiotic, which should help fairly quickly. If she doesn't have an infection, then the doctor can confirm that the fever %26amp; stomach ache are unrelated to the tooth issue, and address them separately.
Reply:i agree with the other poster, call her pediatrician and have him see her asap. Then Call a different dentist to see if they will see her, I hate dentissts that dont do emergencyappt. what the hell are they there for and it;s cruel to make a kid wait.

Some ER's have Emergency dental. See you yours does.
Reply:I'm sorry to hear of your predicament.

It is totally untrue to say he can't treat her until her fever has broken. That has absolutely nothing to do with the local anaesthesia. Ring around and see if you can get another dentist.
