Fast ways to relieve a toothache at home?

what are some fast natural ways to stop a toothache or make the pain not so bad?

Fast ways to relieve a toothache at home?
rinse with warm salt water, take a couple of ibuprofen, get the heating pad out and lay on it. Peroxide rinse, although the salt water rinse seems to work better for me.

Orajel if you have it, Cloroseptic throat spray can work temporarily as well. Alum for pickeling will also numb the pain temporarily.

See your dentist ASAP
Reply:Take a whole clove and hold it between your teeth, where your tooth is bothering you. The clove oil has a gentle, numbing effect. Sounds weird, really works.
Reply:Dont know anything natural...but Ibuprofen really helps or Oragel. Ibuprofen especially because it is an anti inflammatory and it reduces the swelling causing the pain. If you dont like these suggestions try sucking on ice till it is numb.
Reply:Depends on the cause. For things like an exposed nerve from a cavity I found that gargling ice cold saltwater can help numb the pain for a short period of time.

You could also try clove oil which can help numb the area around the tooth for non cavity related pain.

Ibruprofen also help.
Reply:you know the spice 'clove'. put a couple of those where it hurts, usually on the gum. hold it on with your finger when it gets soft rub it along the gum a bit. or you can buy clove oil from local supermarket or chemist. Rinse mouth out with salty warm boiled water oftern. you can also rub a bit of alcohol on the tooth and gum... scotch/whiskey whatever.
Reply:Brush your teeth really good to get rid of anything that may be causing the pain........Ambesol.....some type of pain relieve(Tylenol, Aspirin, etc.,). If those don't work, you may have an abscess and need to go to the dentist and get started on antibiotics and narcotic pain relievers.
Reply:For temporary relief, get clove oil and rub where it hurts, if no oil just bite on a clove.

BUT see a dentist as where there is pain there is a problem and without the correct help it could get much worse.
Reply:my father is a dentist and he says you can drink cold water and then drink hot water then cold then hot hope it helps.
Reply:Clove oil:Is great to use for toothaches. Apply a little on the affected tooth for some time and then rinse with warm water. Boil 5 grams of fresh peppermint in 1 cup water with a little salt. And rinse mouth well with this .Peppermint is an antiseptic and contains menthol which relives pain .Try out http://useinfo-dentalcare.blogspot.com/ for more details.
