How to stop a toothache?
The only thing that may work are pain medications. Something like Tylenol, Advil or ibuprofen.
Reply:try and get anbesol - either as a gel or a liquid. I got this when I had real bad wisdom teeth pain and nothing helped, but anbesol really worked great!

Or try clove oil! It tastes funny but it works also!
Reply:Oil of Clove on the tooth will help get rid of the pain. You can also lay an aspirin on the tooth, for pain.
Reply:Listerine (the mouthwash) hold some in your mouth directly on the tooth. This is what I use if meds aren't available or until I can see my dentist. It helps numb the spot.
Reply:I aggree anbesol butr go to a dentist it could be something that has abcessed and infected. I wouldn't want that type of infection that close to my brain.
Reply:bourbon. im not being funny either. take a small sip and hold it over the tooth for 30 seconds or so. It will numb it for a while. Also if its a cavity your dealing with, ask the pharmacist if they sell a temorary filling kit. ( I got mine at Walgreens) it has oil of cloves to numb it and a cement type stuff you put in the hole to keep out air and food till you can go to the dentist. Its only a temporary fix and since its not sterile could actually make your cavity worse in the long term, but it will keep your pain level to a minimum until you can be seen. Good luck and my condolances I feel your pain
Reply:call your dentist and they will perscribe you some pain pills. like darvocets lowertabs or tylenol4
Reply:try Anbesol gel , that work on mine
