Reply:Oooh! I think toothaches are the worst pain. Call a dentist and ask if you can work something out. If you have an infection they will need to give you antibiotics to cure the infection before they can do anything with the tooth. I sympathise with you.
Reply:Ibuprofen with codeine will help with the pain and depending on what helps heat or cold, if heat feels better keep your mouth warm with warm salty water, or if cold is better suck on some ice cubes. But the reason you have a toothache is because your tooth is rotting and the nerve is slowly dying, and will hurt until it dies or is removed.
Reply:quickly go to an emergency room at your local hospital
Reply:get some eucalyptus oil on a piece of a cotton and keep with where u have a pain. it is very traditional remedy for toothache.
Reply:if the pain is so sever you may have an infection, abscess so you will need anti biotic.
pain killers try 2 paracetamol and 2 ibuprofen at the same time or ask you chemist what you can buy over the counter
to see your dentist would coast around £20 with anti biotic small price to pay to be pain free
Reply:The reason why it hurts so bad is because you have an absess tooth. Which means you have a bad tooth and there is infection from your tooth that has moved up into your gum line and to your nerves which is causing the extreme pain you are in. The only way you are going to make the pain go away is by getting some anti-biotics into your system to fight the infection. Anti-biotics will make the pain go away before any pain-killers do.
Reply:cheddar cheese`s natural enzymes help.let t gently melt in your mouth around the tooth.
Reply:If you can get ahold of some vicodin, do so. Take the pill and put it on whatever tooth that hurts and let it dissolve. It is fairly disgusting, but I promise it works.
Reply:Pain is a signal of infection or something hitting a nerve. I am sorry but this is not going to get any better, only worse. You need to find a way to go to dentist as there may be infection. You will need antibiotics, as there may be an abscess, or infected pocket.
For the moment, put some ice in a washcloth and put that in that area of your face, just to kind of numb the part of your face. At the drugstore, they sell over-the-counter products like Orajel to provide numbing also, but these, too, are short-term. You can also take Tylenol for pain control, but this, too, is just a momentary fix.
If I were in your situation, with no money or insurance, I would go to the emergency room of a public hospital. It will be a long wait, so bring a book, but I think they have to help you. I think you also will have to play it up big, perhaps exaggerating a bit how bad you feel so they don't send you away.
Good luck with this -- write back if you can, to let us know how you made out.
Reply:You should really go to a doctor for the infection because you don't want to end up with more of an infection. If you wait, the infection can spread to other areas of your body and cause some really nasty and I mean REALLY nasty complications that will cost a lot more than a doctor's visit will run you right now. A doctor's visit in the US should cost you between 50 and 100 dollars and you can call around to see what a regular office visit costs. You can also check in your area to see if there's a free clinic or a low cost clinic that you can go to. Don't forget to let the doctor know that you have very little money and no insurance so they won't prescribe a costly antibiotic - some offices actually have samples that they can give you so you don't have to pay for the prescription at all. When the infection goes, the pain will go also. In the meantime see if the doctor will give you something for the pain for a couple of days. After you're done with the infection then you should go to the dentist when you can afford it to have your tooth examined.
Reply:Activated charcoal is available at many drug stores and natural health food stores.
Mix two teaspoons of activated charcoal powder with just enough water to make a paste. Apply it to a piece of gauze and place the gauze on the tooth. Bite down.
This really works!!
