Remedy for toothache?
Oh, I feel for you, I dealt with tooth pain for many years before finally having them pulled and getting an upper denture. Drink from a straw, nothing too cold or acidy. Get some over the counter tooth ache jell. It will help calm the pain, and if you are not allergic, advil worked great for me. Advil/Ibuprophen is a nonsteroidal antiflamitory agent, so it will reduce inflamation. I also had problems with infection, so get to the dentist ASAP for propholactic antibiotics. You dont want infection so close to your brain, could get really bad quick.

Reply:dentures... sorry I couldn't help myself...

um seriously.. asprin
Reply:hmm... try some salt water that fixes everything! or will at least put a yukky feeling in yuor mouth and you'll forget the toothache... lol nah try chewing gum! chewy is actually quite soothing for sore teeth... like rub it around the tooth it feels good
Reply:melt a piece of candle wax and stick it in the cavity til'u get to the dentist
Reply:go buy some oragel %26lt;over the counter stuff%26gt; from the pharmacy. tooth aches are horrible pain...

i dunno any home remedy that kills pain....but if someone does i would like to learn about it.
Reply:You ever seen that movie where tom hanks took a rock %26amp; busted out his tooth while stranded on an island???

OR you should have brushed your teeth..........
Reply:eat some ice cream to numb down the pain...thats what i'd do
Reply:oil of clove, but it wont work really well.
Reply:Drink lots and lots of orange juice and other stuff with Vitamin C in it. Also, eat less sugar and sweets.
Reply:"Just rub ice on the back of your hand, on the V-shaped webbed area between your thumb and index finger. A Canadian study found that this technique reduces toothache pain by as much as 50 percent compared with using no ice. The nerve pathways at the base of that V stimulate an area of the brain that blocks pain signals from the face and hands."
Reply:As a temporary measure you can pack the decay area with a aspirin. It works. Just wet the aspirin and stuff it into the tooth. But you can only do this once as it is not good for your gums to do it too much. Helps in a pinch.
Reply:Try whole cloves, you know the spice used in ham it has a numbing agent in it. You just take one and bite down where it hurts and leave it there you can change it as often as needed.
Reply:put ice on the part of jaw hurting for ten min intervals. Also some kinds of mouth pain liquid, pain relivers or toothache gum.
Reply:here are some home remedies you could try:

1. mix some allum and a pinch of table salt with some lukewarm water. gargle for 3 minutes and do this twice a day.

2. mefelnamic acid would ease the pain... take one 500mg tablet every 4 hours

3. dip a small cotton ball on a dish of lukewarm saltwater. make sure it's totally soaked. then bite on this cotton ball with your painful tooth
Reply:crush up a tylenol, and put it on the tooth that hurts, wet it a little
Reply:Probably no way unless you have some pain medication. The spice "cloves" will help. But I have had a toothache so bad that 3 perkiadan's would not faze it. My dentist told me the next day that a toothache is one of the most painful things a person can go through. Even first to a kidney stone.

I had a friend that had a stone and watched him drank a quart of 100 proof Vodka and he was still screaming. He tried to pass out but could not. To the ER we carried him....
Reply:Please consult a dentist,,,,,,hahahaheheheehhahahahhwhwhw
Reply:4 motrin
Reply:Sure: Get one (1) pinto bean. (2) crack it open - lengthwise. (3) place the inside part of the pinto bean between your gum and lip where the pain exists. (4) leave the pinto bean in your mouth (although your breath will smell). Some how, the pinto bean will rest on your gum where it wants to, so don't remove it. THIS SHOULD TAKE AWAY YOUR PAIN UNTIL YOU CAN GO TO A DENTIST. I know it works. You will need to replace the pinto bean once it fails to stick to your gums.
Reply:Clove oil, trust me

Reply:orajel works pretty good and try putting a wet cloth inside of your mouth i did that when i had a terrible toothache and it helps a lot.
Reply:you can take either oragel (you apply it on to the area to numb it) or take a couple of ibuprofens (maybe even 3...which is prescription strength). if you're gonna go with ibuprofen i would suggest eating with it or getting the "enteric coated" type so your stomach won't suffer as much.
