Very painful toothache?

Seeing a dentist is out of the question so don't respond with that resolution. What are some common remedies for a severe toothache? It hurts all the time, regardless if i'm chewing anything or not, whether it's hot or cold. It hurts all the time.

Very painful toothache?
Benzodyne is good as a topical pain reliever. It is designed to help with denture pain. It tastes really bad, but I think the taste out weighs the pain. You may want to try rinsing your mouth with hydrogen peroxide but be sure NOT to swallow any as it is poison!!!!

Can't go to a dentist because of lack of insurance? Call a local dental school or free clinic. Sometimes the Salvation Army helps people with cost. Have medical insurance? Go in and ask for an antibiotic. The dentist will not work on a tooth if infection is present anyway. I have suffered with dental pain for years and know whereof I speak. My heart goes out to you.
Reply:SEVERE TOOTHACHES or shall we say strange pain on one of your teeth or the gum-line is usually the starting point of a severe or worst dental problem. Aside from giving you sleepless nights of painful miseries and difficult chewing, it could actually threaten your health and worst could kill you. Before it's too late, get dental health care advices and solutions at http://www.themouthdoctor.com/dentalheal... and free yourself from the dangers of dental problems.
Reply:you can try rubbing on some sensodine... it's like a gel you can get it at your local drug store. You just rubb it on where it hurts and it has a numbing effect. It will not take the pain away tho, just temporarily relieve it. It sounds like you need either a Root canal or an extraction (pulling the tooth), seeing the dentist is the only way to get rid of the pain permanently. Otherwise just wait it out until the tooth dies and then it won't hurt any more. However, you're running the risk that the infection will affect the surrounding teeth and then those will start hurting.. Seeing the dentist is not such a bad idea, i would prefer temporary discomfort than permanent pain, but it's always your call.
Reply:Take 2-3 x the recommended amount of Advil (like maybe 4-6 of them) every 2-4 hours. Eventually you WILL need to see a dentist, but in the meantime the Advil will work short-term.
Reply:swish a solution of 50/50 hydrogen peroxide/water for @least

1 min. 4,5 times daily. use ibuprofen to take down inflamation

hydrogen peroxide should help with infection.
Reply:You could have an abscessed tooth. This occurs when there is very deep decay in a tooth and it has penatrated the nerve of the tooth. It usually starts with tooth sensativity and if it isn't taken care of can throb all of the time. You should not let an infection like this go as it can become very serious. I know you don't want to hear it but you should see a dentist and at least get on an antibiotic. Why is this out of the question? Do you have a fear of dentists or is it because of money? If it is because of money check out care credit.com Many people in the office I work at use this and it makes dental work possible for them. By the way the best painkiller for toothaches is ibuprophen.
Reply:just remember to eat as much before the denist
Reply:clove oil ,it's an important componant in dentistry materials, it realy helps to reduce the pain, put it in a cotton roll and directly on your tooth for couple of min, also use some analgesic tablets....

but one way or another you're gonna have to go to your dentist coz you're dealing with inflammation here and there is a big chance for abscess formation, or spreading of the inflammation to serious places..
