I have a bad toothache that starts whenever I eat or drink something cold. Or if I eat anything sweet as well. It lasts for hours. It hurts so bad Im starting to get a headache! I have a dentist appointment in 3 days, anything that can help with the pain til my appoinment?
Horrible toothache!!?
I had a toothache 2 weekends ago and it was 3 days before I could see a dentist. I took Excedrin every 6 hours and rubbed Anbesol Maximum Strength on it to numb the pain. It worked well, but I had an abscessed tooth and now require a root canal, so it's good you're having it checked out.
Reply:trting taking advil it helps me out when i have a tootache from my braces
Reply:Get an oral anasthetic, like Oragel, and apply it whenever you have pain. It feels weird, like a numbness. Don't overuse it, or you will start drooling. Also, any kind of pain reliever can help in general.
Reply:swish warm water mixed with peroxide around in your mouth, then spit it out. This helps to clear out any pus or anything building up in or around the tooth and will help it feel a little better.do it once or twice an hour, several times a day.
Reply:Orajel. When you have a toothache you aren't suppose to eat anything sweet or cold it can't irritate it because of the nerve.

Reply:Good. Your seeing the dentist.
I would try and stay away from that stuff if it hurts that bad...
Reply:Oragel or "swish" with some brandy or whiskey to numb the pain (in the evening). My mom recommended that to me and it did the trick until I made it to the dentist office.
Reply:Toothaches are painful but can be prevented
by take suitable precautions. Avoid eating
food which will result in the formation of acid
in the mouth, brush teeth regularly with a fluoride
toothpaste. I found the information at
