Toothache Remedy?

I have a killer toothache and have been in pain for almost a week. I went to the er and the dentist and they can't work on my tooth until my blood pressure decreases because it is elevated. I never had a problem with my bp before.

I am in alot of constant pain and the meds the hospital gave me aren't working. I have taken motrin and that seems to be waring off too. Anything else I can take to ease the pain?

I am also on antibiotics, that after 4 days don't seem to be working.

Toothache Remedy?
Since you have had the toothache for awhile the antibiotics may take a little longer to clear up the infection. You may even need to be on a stronger dose. I have had a few of my patients use clove oil and they said that it helped with the pain slightly. You should call the dentist and see if he can give you a stronger pain med. Good Luck and I hope that you feel better soon.
Reply:Okay, it sounds hokey, but soak a tea bag, any kind will do and place it directly on the tooth. Tried and true folk remedy from my grandmother. Good luck.
Reply:Oil of Clove, placed directly on the tooth, will immediately stop that tooth ache.

Also, swish freezing cold water on the tooth for temporary pain relief.

Trust me Oil of Clove, Cucumber or Tea Bags are the best, I am suffering from a Tooth Abscess and these really helped my tooth.

Good Luck! (from UK)
