I have a toothache (I know it is a big cavity) and I cant get into my doctor until the 5th of December.
Is there a "home remedy" or over the counter meds that I can take until I can get in to my dentist???
Toothache remedies?
Toothache products should be chosen accordingly. It should be guided by your dentist.
Toothaches or shall we say strange pain on one of your teeth or the gum-line is usually the starting point of severe or worst dental problems. Aside from giving you sleepless nights of painful miseries and difficult chewing, it could actually threaten your health. Before it's too late, get dental health care advices and solutions at http://www.themouthdoctor.com/dentalheal... and free yourself from the dangers of dental problems.
Reply:If I were you I would go to a different dentist that can get you in right away
by then the pain can become severe.
don't use the over the counter gel for toothaches..it doesn't last.
putting liquor on the cavity is the only thing that ever worked for me.
if you start rinsing your mouth with warm salt water about 5 times a day the pain will ease up in a few days
I had a severe toothache...a cavity in my wisdom tooth. by the time i got to my appointment i had already been to the er. it was so severe...it wouldn't have been so painful if i had gone to the dentist immediately.
at the er they gave me some very strong pain medicine..
i'm sorry..had no idea you were recovering alcoholic...that's great!Keep up the good work..that's tough all in itself.
the only other thing i can think of was i made a cold compress..a wet washcloth with an ice pack and pressed it up against my cheek and laid on that side...it nummed most of the pain, but was very uncomfortable.
one other thing ,make sure if you eat or drink anything to rinse your mouth out with really warm water afterwards because food can get lodged where the cavity is and become severe rather quickly
Reply:rinse your mouth out with sal water. also, if your ovr 21 rinse your mouth out with a little bit of vodka....as much around the sore tooth as possible.
I ended up in the er over a tooth infection, they gave me antibiotics and painkillers. The er docter told me to use a cold compress on there, NOT hot. even tho the heat can make it feel better..it can actually make it worse. if you HAVE to..alternate...go from hot to cold but dont constantly use the heat.
oragel dosent work. try tylenol. sometimes i have used sinus meds~that seemed to help a lot.
I get a lot of toothaches and i have no insurance so i am always lookin g for home remedies lol not the smartest thing to do,but if i was u i would get a new dentist. good luck
Reply:A big cavity can be big trouble. Call your dentist and tell him you are in pain and need an emergency appointment. It can happen. There's no reason you should wait that long if you are in pain.
