TOOTHACHE and PREGNANT?

Actually I have 2 questions...I am 34 weeks pregnant and...

#1 Since I started my 3rd trimester, I have had a horrible toothache. This also happened with my first son, and according to my sister and mother, it happened to them as well. But when I asked my OB about it she said it wasn't a normal pregnancy symptom. Any thoughts? Anyone else had this happen?

#2 Also since starting the 3rd trimester I have been extremely itchy in my private area. No foul smelling discharge or anything. I know what a yeast infection feels like cause I had one almost constantly with my first son. Its not the same feeling. Did anyone also experience this?

Thanks to all in advance.

TOOTHACHE and PREGNANT?
yes i had both the problem you have, regarding the teeth i had the pain during my pregnancy and then it went away, dont worry it has nothing to be worried off. Have patients- that is the only thing i can convince you with as i know the pain...

Regarding the second i also had the same itching, i went to doctor and had the different test, but everything was normal...i feel it is common about itchy during pregnancy, the main reason is as we have to go to urine again and again so the area be's mostly wet, and this is the cause.. i know it is funny - but try staying without wearing a panty at home... and wearing a loose outfit like MAXI -it helps... i tried this

All the best... have a safe delivery.. hope i helped you a little
Reply:well, after I had my daughter I went to the dentist and had tons of cavities. Before that i had very good teeth. building a baby takes calcium out of your body like crazy and can easily wreck your teeth.

As for your privates. Could be yeast. I pee when I cough, laugh, etc. If my panties are damp alot, I get a rash and swollen and it is itchy. I put vaseline on my privates
Reply:i cant help you out with the first part! I would just go to your dentist and talk with them about it. It never hurts to get a checkup anyways because it could be that you have an infection or something in your tooth and mouth infections can cause preterm labor. (i read about it in my what to expect book so..im not just making it up!! haha)

but with the second one..i have that too. im about 33 weeks pregnant and since i started my third trimester im the SAME WAY!!! Its crazy because the doctor said that my urine and my pap smear sample both came back perfect! So..im not sure what its from but he said that using wipes instead of toilet paper might help because it can catch more of the bacteria and keep it cleaner! They also have those feminine wipes you can buy! Thats the only thing i have heard about it but..i have found that they help!

Good luck and congrats!!!
Reply:tooth ache, do you have a cavity, or any teeth problems? well you can see a dentist and they can fix whatever the problem is. try taking a tylenole to subside the pain, also (not promoting drug use but if you have one laying around) you can take a vicoddin, it safe to take while pregnant. the itchy ness, is it a rash? have you shaved down their? try puting some powder maybe..dunno on that.
Reply:Well less than 2 weeks ago I had to have an emergency tooth extraction because my wisdom tooth has broken. It was determined by my dentist and my OB to be a result of pregnancy. A lot of teeth problems can happen in pregnancy because the fetus is taking so many nutrients and the mothers calcium levels can drop drastically.

I don't know about your second question
Reply:For your #1:

Go see a dentist if you haven't already. My mom's teeth became more sensitive when she was pregnant with me, that might jst be it.

For your #2:

Oh my god, I know exactly how you feel. I thought I was the only one in the world with that problem. My cooter itched so damn bad. Ugh, yea, well I know this is too much information, but you asked. I saw my midwife and doctor about it, and no one could figure it out. They wanted to test me for herpes! I don't have herpes, and I knew then that I didn't, so I took the test (negative) then I had my fiance look down there, and there was some white stuff (looked sorta like toilet paper, but it wasn't) stuck where my clitoris is. He got it out ( I know, too much info) and that stopped the itching for a day. I told my midwife about it, and she said, it's weird, but baby girls get stuff like that from mommy's horomones still going through them after they are born. She told me I must just be more sensitive to those same horomones, and there isn't much I could do but wait till after she was born. it got better just a week or twp b4 i went into labor.
