Ouch toothache?

i have really bad toothache :'( whats the best thing to stop the throbbing pain, i cant even eat anything solid, ive tried ibroprofen but its not done anything :'( im going on holiday friday so i need it to clear up and i look like a hamster

Ouch toothache?
See your dentist asap, if it's swollen and you cant bite down on it, you have an infection, Ibuprofen wont clear up any infection and will only ease the pain for a limited time, if you take to many pain killers your body will become immune to them in the end and wont help ease the pain.

Give your dentist a call and get an emergency appointment, he/she will hopefully give you a course of antibiotics!
Reply:Dentist! Quick!
Reply:If Ibuprofen is not helping, you need to call your dentist and tell him/her it's an emergency. Only the dentist can ease your pain. S/he will help you look human again ;)
Reply:You can take a paracetomol based pain killer with the Ibuprofen and it wont affect you so it will be like double the dose, failing that a trip to the dentist is on the cards
Reply:Deffo see the Denitist.

If you are in the U.K the best pain relief i have found for toothaches is Boots own make dental pain relief. It is really good but to be honest if it is that bad you should see a dentist to recitfy the problem as no pain relief will help.
Reply:if you have swelling it sounds like an infection and you may need antibiotics. ring your dentist for an emergency appointment, in the meantime get some paramol painkillers from the chemist they are very strong and should stop the pain for a few hours.
Reply:oooh,sounds painful!

well, when you go away you want a nice relaxing break, not throbbing in pain don't you! i would get to the dentist as soon as you can and sort it out. then you can enjoy your holiday-have fun when you go! xxx :)
Reply:put oil of cloves or whiskey on tooth
Reply:The best thing to do would be to go to the dentist on an emergency appointment asap-ring up tomorrow morning and ask for one, explain your situation and they should do something about it quickly for you. In the meantime, take painkillers (Anadin Ultra is really good) and hope for the best. I hope you feel better very soon and have a brilliant holiday :-)
Reply:whiskey and emergency dentist
Reply:Oil of Cloves

is excellant at removing the throbbing pain - TEMPORARILY, ..until you can get to the dentist....go on you know you need to!
Reply:sounds like an abcess!! you need antibiotics and quick!! also try co codamol they are quite strong, you can combine these with ibuprofen as these are anti inflamatory pain killers.Good luck xx
Reply:I dont mean this at you directly, but why do people ask silly questions, nothing will get rid of it except getting a filling.
