Is my toothache a cavity or a result of Crest Whitestripes?

My farthest right tooth of my four front teeth has been aching like crazy for about a day now. I know, it's only been a day, however, I'm concerned for the following reasons:

1. There is a weird spot to the corner (touching one of my two front teeth) that looks like decay/a cavity, however, my dentist told me it wasn't a cavity.

2. I've been using Crest Whitestripes for the past six days and the instructions inside say that some people experience tooth sensitivity when using the product, however, if this is true, why is only one tooth?

I've been using a toothache relief cream to stop the pain as well. And I've been wearing a retainer at night for the past three years.

Please help!

Is my toothache a cavity? Should I book an appointment with my dentist?

Is it a temporary result of my Crest Whitestripes? Should I just wait it out?

Is my toothache a cavity or a result of Crest Whitestripes?
It could be because of the whitestrips. Stop using it for about a week and it should go away. Mines go away with 2 days. If it doesn't I would see the dentist again. Good luck!
Reply:sometimes i've noticed they've cause tooth sensitivity with me. Try not using them so much, maybe like every other day instead of every day, and make sure you're leaving them on for the right amout of time.
Reply:tooth whiteners, even those in toothpaste are known to cause sensitivity in teeth. Try switching to Sensodyne toothpaste for a month and see if it goes away. If its still sensitive then see your dentist. You will have to stop the whitestrips during the testing period as well to rule them in or out as the cause.
Reply:can be a can be a cavity check with your d.d.s., try using some sensodyne toothpaste. whitening wears off your tooth enamel which makes your teeth sensitive and weaker
Reply:It's definitely the white strips...I used them, and they hurt my teeth/gums too. They are actually not good for your teeth in the long run b/c the harsh whitening chemicals in them eat away at your enamel. just try naturally whitening your teeth
