I have had toothache on my left side for 1/12 years, ive had 1 tooth taken out, 1 root treatment, been to facial clinic, had all the teeth fillings, after 1 1/2 years its finally calming down (dental hospital told me that it was due to the tooth being extracted, there was a "phantom" pain. But now on my right side (i had a deep filling done in 4 months ago) round that tooth it is red and sore to touch the gums, there is a tiny white dot next to the tooth and it is very sore. i have had anti biotics which have not worked. i am far too embarrassed to go back to the dentist because he will think i am a hypocondriact, only have we sorted the left wide after 1 1/2 years, the right has started up! what will i do???
Toothache worry?
Go to the dentist, I'm sure he won't think you're a hypochondriac. He will have seen plenty of people with problems with different teeth in quick succession before now. And at the end of the day your teeth are far more important than what he thinks - take that advice from someone who didn't act fast enough with dental problems and really regretted it afterwards!
Reply:get Oragel put it on . if i doesn't go away you really need to go to the dentist
Reply:I don't understand some of your writing. However, the white area in your mouth could very well be the beginning of an abscess. I would go back. If that is the case, that is an infection "in" your gum and may get worse.
Go to the doctor!!!
Reply:it can be two things, maybe you ate something that irritated your gums, or you may need another rootcanal. For now i'll give you a trick to try. Rinse your mouth with warm water and salt, if your feeling like that because of something you ate, the sore will heal up and u'll feel a lot better in a couple of days. If the pain gets worst go to the dentist he'll take an x ray and see whats up.
I really hope you feel better, if you happen to go to the dentist have him use only white fillings, metal fillings are very bad for you. Get some rest and try to relax. Feel free to add me as a friend if you have myspace http://www.myspace.com/lubbylues
Reply:Hey no problem! I've been studying dental hygiene and dentistry and I can help. It sounds like you might have paradontal disease. Thats what my dad has. Hey had to go to a surgeon and they removed half of his tooth which was detrementing his other teeth. Its nothing to do with your teeth alone, its an infection in your gums. Its related to ginvititis. My dads problem was not taking care of his teeth properly for 20 years, and if he doesnt get them professionally cleaned every 6 months he could be wearing false teeth by the age of 50. I dont think your ear as bad tho. I know its totally emabressing to go back, Im like that when I go to the doctor, but after studying teeth, I really suggest it. It might stink now, but its better than loosing all of your teeth in the future! My dad got help just in time, and I think that if you go to a professional they'll be able to sort things out and it'll all be just fine! Trust me! If you have any questions dont hesitate to email me! Take care! :)
