Toothache remedies? :[[[[?

I've had a horrible toothache for the past three days, and I can't figure out how to relieve the pain. It's one of my wisdom teeth and I'm not planning on having them removed anytime in the near future. Does anyone know any rememdies or over the counter products that would help me at least a little bit? I'd really appreciate it.

Toothache remedies? :[[[[?
take a tylonol tablet and place it on ur tooth and hold it there by biting down but not hard .... for a few minutes ...tastes awful but it works ....i know the feeling they must be just coming out
Reply:oil of cloves
Reply:Oil of cloves is said to help. Just don't get it on your tongue. You can usually find it at a health food store or the pharmacy. However, waiting may may more teeth go bad.
Reply:Whiskey and a pair of pliers.
Reply:Toothaches never really go away. You should go to your Dentist to see if the tooth is just comming in or if there is something else wrong. In the mean time a little whisky rubbed on the gum will help relieve some of the pain along with some tylenol PM will help you sleep at night.
Reply:Dab whiskey on the tooth with your finger, it should take the pain away for a while, keep dabbing it on once you start to feel pain again, and take some paracetmol and get some sleep.
Reply:You may want to try some Oragel on it. I have found it to work remarkably well on tooth aches, however I had my wisdom teeth removed years ago. Therefore I am unsure as to how well it will work on them, however it is worth a try.

Also placing an ice pack on that side of your face may ease the pain somewhat, however never use it for more than 20 minutes at a time as you can get frostbite if you do.

Good luck, take care, and I hope you are able to find some relief. Toothaches are really a challenge and effect your whole life. :- (
Reply:i actually have toothache at the moment, Nurofen is great for toothache, also clove oil, and i find brushing my teeth numbs the pain for a while. I feel your pain, it is horrible. x
Reply:Try these home-remedies and see if they work for you.
