Please! A toothache home remedy needed until I can get to the dentist.?

My two upper right side last two teeth have broken. That was a couple of weeks ago. Just due to old fillings and thin tooth enamel there. However, I have been up since 4:30 this morning with a horrible toothache in that area. The pain radiates, so it's hard to tell which tooth it is. It's Saturday. I would prefer not to go to an emergency dentist. Does anyone know of a good remedy for this pain until I can see my dentist?

Firstr brush your teeth really well there may be a piece of food up in the tooth and that will cause the pain. Second rinse every half hour with a solution of salt water -not too strong not too weak- swish it around really good. Then alternate tylenol and motrin every 4 hours first motrin then tylenol. A toothache kit from the drug store should help too.
Reply:If you have cloves, bite into one, that'll numb it.
Reply:elablue is right and I would add to that to floss because most tooth aches are due to trapped food. also you can crush an aspirin and try to coat the affected area with it. its kind of nasty tasting but it helps. hope everything gets better.
Reply:Maximum strength ambesol for tooth ache, its a life saver. 2 aleve every 12 hrs.
