Urgent Toothache Home Remedies??!?

Ahh, so I've got a tooth which I need out and was due to be out tomorrow, but we had to cancel the appointment due to a family emergency and I'm currently away from home at a relatives

Now I've suddenly got the most painful toothache in the tooth I'm set to have out.

I know I need to see a dentist which I will when we return but as of now is there any quick remedy to numb the pain so I can last the rest of the night

I'm tempted to reach for the pliers right now hehe

Urgent Toothache Home Remedies??!?
Hi! I've been in dentistry for over 25 years. If your have an open decayed tooth a small cotton pellet with clove oil will stop the pain. Be sure to not get this on your gums as it will burn slightly. Take 3-4 Motrin 200 mgs if you can take it. Tylenol is not as effective without Codeine. If this gets worse go to the local ER and get meds and if they have a dental clinic they can put a sedative filling in the tooth until you get home. If the tooth is abscessed, they can get you on antibiotics which will also help the pain in 24 hours. That is really the best you can do without a dentist. I wish you the very best. If I can help you in any way, please ask. Marie
Reply:I've been there so I feel you and I'm sorry! I personally tried most of the home remedies and they didn't work. My toothache started because of an infection, and the pain didn't go away until after I started taking two antibiotics (flagyl and amoxicillin) along with Ibuprofen 800mg pills.

I don't wish you sleepless nights, so my best advice would be to run to the ER and explain your situation and receive some well deserved narcotics or any type of strong meds 'til you can see your dentist.

Hope you get better!
Reply:wash with vinegar and warm water till the pain goes away
