Toothache remedies?

Does anyone know any good home remedies for a toothache? I have a toothache and it's making the whole side of my mouth ache, it's really annoying.. I plan on going to the dentist tomorrow so I just want something for tonight. Oh and I can't use oragel, cuz for some reason it makes my toothaches worse! Thanks!

Reply:In addition to using the pain medication of your choice, sleep on an extra pillow to elevate your head. Sleep on the side that does NOT have a toothache. If that doesn't work, you can move to a recliner or the sofa so you can keep your head really elevated. This will minimize the blood flow to the area and therefore minimize the throbbing and pain. This might help you make it through the night until you can see a dentist.
Reply:When I get a toothache what usually works for me is I usually wash my mouth out with mouth wash and then rense it out with peroxide. Sometimes rensing your mouth with salt water helps also. Hopes this helps you. Good luck at the dentist.
Reply:CLOVES FROM KITCHEN

RUB ON GUM LINE AROUND TOOTH AREA.
Reply:If the ache is on the left side, then you place the area on your opposite hand that is between the thumb and fingers in iced water. If it's the right, then place the area on your left hand in the ice.

I don't know why, just that it alleviates the toothache pain 95% of the time.

Got the remedy from my gramma who was a home remedy expert.
