Very bad toothache!!?
If a dentist has told you there is no choice but to have the tooth removed, then it is probably true, since dentists usually try to save teeth. Of course if you had acted years ago, or gotten a second opinion perhaps the course could have been different.

Now keeping that infected tooth is like keeping a leg with gangrene! Teeth infections can lead to brain infections and death! Get it out of there! Then have the rest of your teeth looked at, some of them are also probably bad. If you act soon, maybe the others can be saved?

By the way, stop drinking soda, if you are. It is the fastest way to a mouthful of rottten teeth!
Reply:Glad I could help reassure you. Now follow all the dentists instructions for healing, especially don't smoke. Then go back to have the rest of your mouth cleaned and evaluated. Report It

Reply:Go to the chemist/Pharmacy and get clove oil it works incredibly well or you could try putting whiskey on it to numb it.
Reply:Try oragel, or anbesol, they work pretty well, but not for very long. some people say that using clove oil works as well, but I've never used it personally. However, if your dentist says that it needs to be extracted, it might be in your best interest!
Reply:is ay go to the dentist and get it removed other wise yoou are going to have some problems or go to the pharmacy and see if they can give you some pain med.
Reply:If your tooth is so severely decayed, that it can't be saved...I'm afraid you'll have to have it removed. If there is infection in the tooth (or around it), you risk the infection spreading to healthy areas of your mouth (ie; bone, soft tissue, healthy teeth or even worse...your blood stream).

Antibiotics can help contain the infection (if that's why you need to have it removed...which is likely), but it won't premanently remove the decay that's still in your tooth (no matter how well you brush, as bacteria is ever present in our mouthes.)

There are favorable options for replacing that tooth if you're a good candidate. :) There are bridges that can be made, stay plates, as well as implants.

Please read into the "big picture" here...it could cost you your healthy teeth or health.
Reply:This is what works for me at different times these different things work

Crush an Exedrin %26amp; put the powder directly on your sore tooth

Take a tea bag %26amp; put it in as hot as water as your mouth and handle, than take it out %26amp; press it firmly BUT carefully so the bag does not puncture in between your sore tooth and the over below or above it

lay on a heating pad against your cheek this really helps to sooth the pain for me
Reply:Clove oil:Is great to use for toothaches. Apply a little on the affected tooth for some time and then rinse with warm water. Boil 5 grams of fresh peppermint in 1 cup water with a little salt. And rinse mouth well with this .Peppermint is an antiseptic and contains menthol which relives pain .Try out http://useinfo-dentalcare.blogspot.com/ for more details.
