Chemotheraphy and toothache?

My dad has lung cancer and is on chemotherapy. He just developed an extremely bad toothache, and because of the chemo, he isn't supposed to go to any dentist for surgery. He uses clove oil and even takes some toothache painkillers(given by the dentist) for his teeth, but he said it only helps ease the pain abit. Any advice on this? Any recommended medication he can take to help him ease the pain? He's allowed to take oral pills but no extractions, or fillings, or surgery.

Btw, the toothache painkiller he's taking is Panadeine(paracetamol and codeine).

Chemotheraphy and toothache?
its about right,, over the counter pain meds especially with codeine,, after the chemo the tooth pain will go away...just make sure he brushes his teeth everyday as tooth decay is increased with chemo and a good anti bacterial mouthwash,,, i used Sensydine toothpaste..and lots of Tylenol 3
